What we believe

We believe that men and women are made in the image of God, but that sin has separated us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe that all those who place their faith in Christ are to be baptized into Christ.

We believe in one God, made known to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Jesus who is truly God and truly man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for the sins of the world, was resurrected bodily, and now reigns forever in glory.

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a promise to all believers.

We believe spiritual gifts should be in the church with balance and guidance from the church’s spiritual leadership.

We believe in the absolute inspiration of the Bible.

We believe in the equipping of believers to do the Lord’s work on earth, through God-given and Christ-given gifts.

We believe the chief expression of the body of Christ on earth is found in the local church, while imperfect, is connected to other local churches through mutual faith, cultural diversity, and eternal commission, yet self-governing in its pursuit of the mission of Christ.

We believe all men and women have equal status before, and direct access to, Jesus Christ.

We believe that those who have faith in Christ should turn from sin. The grace of God brings salvation, the Holy Spirit regenerates the heart enabling faith that brings justification from sin. The Holy Spirit leads us in sanctification, the ongoing spiritual growth that identifies us as genuine believers and is completed only at glorification.

We believe in Heaven and hell, the literal second coming of Jesus Christ, His rule upon the earth, and the resurrection of believers to eternal life and sinners to eternal punishment, and the ultimate victory of the Kingdom of God.
